This fall & winter you can buy 3 new releases from the Decemberists on beautiful vinyl. No, they are not re-releases and no they're not pulling a b-sides collection. The collection is being called Always the Bridesmaid: A Singles Series, and it comes in three waves. Volume I will contain "Valerie Plame" and "O New England" and will be available via digital outlets and vinyl October 14. Volume II features "Days of Elaine", "Days of Elaine [Long version]", and "I'm Sticking With You" and can be had on November 4. Volume III gets "Record Year" and "Raincoat Song" and comes out December 2.
This is some of the best news I've heard all week. Nothing beats the Decemberists when it's chilly out, and nothing beats vinyl. Also, very little can beat this picture.

Lovely!
Question: If nothing beats the Decemberists when it's chilly out, and nothing beats vinyl, then which wins in a battle between those two?
wonder if I'm sticking with you is the Velvet underground cover.
Valerie plame and raincoats are stellar songs as well.
David,
Neither side wins, you just double up on the best thing in the world.
Hope that helps,
Caleb
