Lessons learned from the death of Heath Ledger....

or confirmed, rather. I already knew the American media was mostly a bunch of heartless, soulless people out to make an extra buck in advertising or gain a new pair of eyes in shares and ratings, but events like this are always a dismal reminder.

As footage of his dead body being wheeled to an ambulance was interspersed with footage of his freshly grieving parent's begging reporters for a few days of privacy I began to realize how sad the whole situation was, not just because of his death, but because of how the family he left behind will be harassed for juicy new details (under the disguise of heartfelt interviews) for weeks, if not months, to come.

That's the tragedy within the tragedy.

I am, as i type, watching Heath in a Knights Tale really upset.
He was a good looking bastard.
Although an antipodean, a member of the common wealth, a patriot, he is no less one of our own.
On hearing about his death i got angry, angry because i admired him, angry because it was a waste, angry because i couldn't enjoy him no more.
They say the good die young, i hope his passing is for a reason.
If i could accept the reason he Did, it would be to help another desperate soul.
In my own little world I'm sending Heath to help Britany.
How, or why I've no F***ing idea.
In reality i want his death to mean something. I know it's desperate but if i don't fantasize i have to accept the world is F*****d
