IN RAINBOWS IS HERE!!!!

Oh My Dear Lord! As I was winding down my evening, performing my nightly final email check I saw it: a beautiful shiny new Radiohead download code for In Rainbows. I'm only one song in, but it doesn't look I'll be going to sleep after all. Sure I have to be up in six hours for school but who cares!

Go crazy with the cheeze whiz!

i'm honestly disapointed with the first listen - but it's radiohead so i'll keep with it.

one thing for sure - this version of videotape pales in comparison to the basement version or any of the high-quality live.

you have absolutely NO RIGHT to post MP3s from this album. seriously who the fuck do you think you are undermining the efforts of the band like that. THE ALBUM IS ALREADY FREE ON THE INTERNET, so why not let people decide what they want to pay so Radiohead MIGHT get something for their efforts.

seriously, dude, not cool.

Kasper Guldberg said...

Erhm, you kinda said it yourself. "THE ALBUM IS ALREADY FREE ON THE INTERNET"... exactly. So what harm will it do?? I'm almost 98 % certain that Radiohead will NOT mind at all, they're just a bloggin' kinda band.
It's ONE mp3. ONE.

I think "anonymous" was kidding. In the event he's not, go here and search "radiohead"

actually no, i wasn't kidding. yes they're technically giving it away for free, but not exactly. here, you're giving it away. radiohead is providing the opportunity for people to pay for it.

i just think it's wrong of you to post any song.

Caleb said...

Sorry you feel that way. Until the band or their management expresses disaproval myself, and hundreds of other bloggers will post individual tracks (while encouraging readers to CHOOSE to pay for the record that radiohead is giving away for free).

I don't think you get how this model of business works. You know those free newspapers that someone delivers everywhere or those apartment guides that threy give away for free? If I take a stack of those and give them away from my porch for free, am I doing anything wrong?

Caleb said...

Also, I'm not convinced your serious:

Where did I encourage people not to pay or negate someone's right to choose to pay?

You're not very intelligent.

Jeez anonymous, calm down. He's doing nothing wrong. Radiohead themselves are giving it away for free. I guess you aren't very familiar with blogs, eh?

does anyone else's sound a little crappy? It's like the bass is clipped on several of the tracks. Is this just a style choice, or a bad recording. I know it's only 160k but this sounds more like a bad recording than bad transfer to mp3. Anyone?

also, anon, you're stunningly retarded.

Caleb said...

Yeah, the mix itself is a bit off. I can't complain. The album was free (i paid for it) but by choice.

I'm surprised they didn't offer AT LEAST 192kbps mp3's but I guess you'll have to drop the cash for the discbox or wait til 2008 to have a higher quality version.

caleb, thanks a lot. i love your blog, man, and anon is a d-bag for suggesting anything negatory. and also, anon, i've never seen caleb be anything but fair with his mp3 posts.. he always suggests buying the albums at insound or whatever. fuck off, anon.

The recording industry is already using their favorite pet, MTV to attack radiohead, BIG SUPRISE!
